Just over a dozen students, and ex-students, from the Littleover Community School and Derby Moor College made an impromptu visit to the Indian Community Centre (ICC) today. 30 minutes before the Centre was due to serve dinner at their weekly social lunch club for the elderly, the students contacted Ravi Mattu, the ICC Project manager, and asked if they could come and pamper their members.
After lunch the members enjoyed a combination of hand massage, nail painting, and henna mehndi ( hand painting) ..as well as a chat with younger members of the community who they may not have had the chance to meet before.
The ladies left feeling a little more relaxed, a bit special, and slightly more lively….the music was a little louder than normal!
