The Life of a recovering Addict is amazing!
Today was their annual play which is always a blend between being very funny, whilst containing high emotion, and being inspirational. Everyone in the play is a recovering drug addict and their lived experiences brought great poignancy and reality to the production.
Jericho House is a classic case of a charity that does fantastic work with little money and resources; it could do considerably more with a little help from the authorities. It is sad that 4 people on their waiting list died during the year – had they had the opportunity to access Jericho then …who knows?
Jericho House needs funding and support; the work that they do, and the way they do it, is unique locally.

The very moving tradition at the end of the play is for all the performers, and others from the Jericho family go to the front of the stage and thank Jericho House, and reveal how long they have been clean. Some as high as 15 years; a rapturous applause was given by the audience for the man who had been clean for just 2 days.
They’re all the lucky guys!
